McKinney Homeowners: Upgrade with Spray Foam Insulation

A 5-star review for a 5-star company! These guys are great, and the entire process of working with them from quotation to job completion was about as pleasant as could be. This was due in large part to Ian who came to my house twice to both quote and go over my questions and concerns about the work to be done and possible issues that might arise during the install, as well as being very communicative throughout the entire process.

For perspective, I wanted to have radiant barrier installed in my house built in 2023 (because the builder couldn't even provide that), and got estimates from five different companies. Not only was Green Attics the one of the lowest quoted prices, but they threw in several extras that showed they are here for the customer. For example, other installers quoted 1 solar fan and 3-4" blown-in insulation added, whereas Green Attics quoted 2 solar fans and 6" blown-in insulation. And again, this was with them having a low price than most their competitors.

Pricing and value aside, their installers are very good. They arrived on time, were respectful of my home, and completed the job very professionally. Their work speaks for itself. On top of that, Ian was also on hand to ensure that the concerns I had during the quotation process were addressed on the day of install. This is in contrast to many service providers who are more than happy to say they'll take care of you, but leave you to their crew on the day of install.

Finally, the radiant barrier they installed is already working as advertised. I have a wireless hygrometer set up in the attic and the attic temperatures are already noticeably lower than before, with a 10 degree temperature difference. This is comparing two days where the ambient temperatures were about the same outside.

I can't say enough good things about this company, and highly recommend you give them a chance to earn your business for your insulation needs.

My neighbor requested a quote for their home from Green Attics. I heard the fair pricing and time line to do the job. I had them quote me as well. Straight to the point, I asked for a quote for blow in only. That's what I got, a quote for blow in only. I was asked by the sales person Juan if I needed anything else and I said, nope. We had a fantastic experience on revamping our attic with insulation and radiant barrier from start to finish. Ian was up front with costs, answered my many questions, and was there every step of the way. The crew showed up on time, kept us informed of the progress, cleaned up afterwards as if they had never been there, and even found a gas leak in our attic that has probably been leaking for years. We have worked with Green attics twice now and they are absolutely amazing! It’s hard to find a company that truly treats their customers well and go above and beyond. When they did some work in our attic and that night a storm was causing us some problems. They came out in the middle of the night to make sure everything was ok. If that’s not honest good hard work and excellent customer service I don’t know what is! I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a company!

Juan was great, technicians were great! Minor issue with some loose wiring in the attic after the initial insulation blow in, but the team promptly came back ASAP and fixed the issue, and then blew in more insulation. 5 stars

Highly recommend! They did a great job of adding spray in insulation my attic. They were quick and very responsive through the entire process. The work they did helped fix the temperature issues I was having in certain parts of my house. I would use them again!

Ian was so great he’s willing to work with my insurance company to get an understanding of what exactly needs to be done. He really went above and beyond talking to me for 45 minutes about what’s going on and what we need to do next. Ian even connected a duct that had gotten detached. This is one of the best things I did for my house after replacing the roof. I had that old insulation pulled out and replaced with new blown in insulation - it was about 17 yrs old.. Thank goodness I did. It reduced my electric costs by about 22%. Juan was so professional and helpful. They did an amazing job cleaning up afterwards. Arrived a little early and finished quickly. Green attics crushed it. I got estimates for a simple job from 3 companies. One never got around to quoting me afterward. One sent a super salesy rep to close me on why they were the best (quote was 2x as high as green attics). Green attics rep came out and talked to me like a person trying to help another person. No sales techniques, just friendly and to the point. They did an excellent job and I would use them again for any more attic humidity issues.

I had an incredible experience with Green Attics. From start to finish, their professionalism and expertise were outstanding. Juan, who managed the whole project, was extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. The return vent was installed for a smoother operation of my AC unit, also extending its lifespan. Since the attic ceiling was not suitable for a spray foam insulation, Juan rerouted that option to have it installed onto the attic floor. That lead to thorough seal of the second floor ceiling, which keeps an even temperature throughout the entire house! Brilliant idea! Go with spray foam instead of blown in fiberglass insulation. My home is cool and comfortable again, and I couldn't be happier. The electric bill has dropped in price instantly. My upstairs AC unit stopped working out of nowhere, in Texas, in AUGUST. I made a call and was connected with their head of operations, Juan Cruz. Juan drove out to my house the same day and was able to have an assessment done and make suggestions while he scheduled a technician to come out with needed equipment. Within 48 hours the issue was identified and addressed and repaired by Ansley who arrived first thing the next morning to take care of the problem. He was professional, courteous and an efficient at identifying and resolving the problem. Very affordable as well and we're back up and running. That's true even though I've been keeping it a few degrees cooler in the house. The customer service and install process were great, but Green Attics delivered where it counts: lower bills and a more comfortable house. This was well worth the money.

Juan and Ansley were highly knowledgeable and thorough. They were able to pinpoint the root cause of why my HVAC seemed to be working but using up 4x the electricity, leading to massive energy bills. I had an outstanding experience! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate Ian’s technical expertise AND his ability to explain the problem and the pros and cons of alternate solutions. He shared industry standards and actual lifespans, refuting distorted numbers from other contractors designed to instill fear. Instead, Ian created trust. Like many people, I am weary of working with service repairmen, feeling on guard against being scammed, but I felt confident in the solution, pricing, and plan moving forward. Green has earned a new loyal customer. Also - Baker Bros provided a quote for far more work than needed to solve the problem . I highly recommend getting a second opinion when working with Baker.

Ian was great to work with. He was clear about the options and costs without giving me a hard sell. In my case I wanted all of the old blown in insulation pulled out and replaced. The team showed up and pulled all of the old out in about half a day. I looked through the attic and it was very clean with all nooks and crannies covered despite some hard to reach areas. The new insulation was blown in the next day and took about half a day, and again the attic was fully covered including a specific spot that had suffered freezing pipes in the past. Overall I was very pleased with the work and would recommend them.

After several estimates and a range of recommendations, I selected Green Attic and I am very pleased with my decision. We chose radiant barrier and an attic fan to reduce our energy bill and had all duct work cleaned. From the initial meeting for the estimate to the completion of the project their team communicated very well, stayed on schedule as promised and were extremely professional. We had one very small incident with some drywall and I would not mention it other than to say they had it professionally repaired within hours and to find that level of responsiveness and accountability was refreshing and I think speaks to the character of the company and their team.

We had a fantastic experience with Green Attics. Ian and Ansley did an incredible job with our attic clean out/new insulation project. Their communication was excellent, they are intelligent problem solvers and professional. The crew worked efficiently and did an excellent job removing all the old insulation and debris from our attic. Ansley problem solved an air flow issue and re-worked some of the duct work which is something our previous HVAC service companies could not seem to figure out. They were also accommodating during the process so our electrician could inspect the wiring in the attic before the new insulation was blown in. The project price was fair and far less than other bids that were outrageous for the same work. I highly recommend these guys for your attic clean out, insulation and HVAC service needs. Best attic in the neighborhood! Initially, I had a radiant barrier installed. Loved it so much that when I started looking for solar tubes and found out that these great folks offered them. It was too easy to say yes. The solar tubes provide so much light that I'm constantly checking to see if I left the lights on.
